Sweden’s shadow-drenched synth/goth architects PRIEST return with ‘CHAOS EP’, a searing follow-up to 2024’s acclaimed ‘DARK PULSE’, which just took home the Jury Prize for Album of the Year at Sweden’s Synthsläggan Awards. Out June 20, this release is a sonic rupture — the final chapter of a dark trilogy that began with 2022’s ‘BODY MACHINE’.
‘CHAOS EP’ collides 90s Big Beat, ambient atmospherics, and post-industrial EBM, tearing through genre conventions with calculated violence. It’s the sound of transformation, rooted in the mechanical heartbeat of Synthpop and EBM, yet spiraling into something far more unstable. This is a funeral for the old order and a flicker of what’s rising from the wreckage.

The EP’s lead track, ‘Nukeface’, is a radioactive detonation of old-school EBM with a sadistic grin. Beneath its kinetic rhythms lies a bleak satire on Cold War hysteria and blind faith in power structures. Darkly humorous, unsettlingly relevant, and undeniably danceable, ‘Nukeface’ is PRIEST at their most viciously conscious.
‘CHAOS EP’ arrives June 20. Prepare for impact. Pre-order here.
