The Birthday Massacre lit up the Granada Theater in Dallas on April 18 with a performance that was equal parts haunting and heartfelt. Playing to a packed house, the band delivered their signature blend of gothic synth-rock with electrifying energy and unexpected tenderness.
Frontwoman Chibi was magnetic, commanding the stage with theatrical flair and a deep connection to the crowd. At one point, she dropped to her knees at the edge of the stage, reaching out to hold hands with fans, making the Granada venue feel like an intimate club show. The night’s most touching moment came when she invited a young girl from the audience onstage – an act that melted every black-clad heart in the room.

The crowd was completely locked in from start to finish, singing along to fan favorites and swaying to the band’s darker, dreamier tracks.
The set list came out swinging with 19 tracks, ripping through fan favorites and unleashing new cuts like “All of You” and “Sleep Tonight” from their freshly dropped album, Pathways.

The band wasn’t here to play it safe – after a blistering main set, they returned for three encores that felt more like victory laps. They brought the house down with “Blue,” from 2005’s Violet, proving they haven’t lost an ounce of their bite.

With moody lighting, tight musicianship, and a setlist that hit all the right notes, The Birthday Massacre reminded Dallas why they’re still a force to be reckoned with in the alt scene.
