You didn’t see this one coming: Jack White just dropped a surprise visual for his fiery No Name standout “Archbishop Harold Holmes,” and it stars none other than the multi-talented, ever-iconic John C. Reilly as the larger-than-life, sermon-slinging Holmes himself.
In a wild twist of fate (and friendship), the idea sparked after Reilly, fresh off the release of his soulful debut album What’s Not To Love? under his Mister Romantic moniker, heard the track and had to play the Archbishop. Jack, being Jack, handed the reins to Reilly and director Gilbert Trejo…no script, no rules, just full creative freedom. The result? A chaotic, electric, and oddly spiritual trip through one man’s divine delusions.
Shot in a real-deal church in LA, the video boasts a star-studded indie cast: Sami Perez (Cherry Glazer), Staz Lindes (Paranoyds & YSL Beauty muse), Misha Lindes (SadGirl), Arrow de Wilde (Starcrawler), and more. Pure alt-rock heaven.
White’s latest album, 2024’s No Name, is still riding high, snagging a 2025 GRAMMY® nod for Best Rock Album. That marks Jack’s 34th solo nomination (yes, seriously) and 46th overall, alongside a staggering 16 wins. In true Third Man Records fashion, the album was recorded, pressed, and unleashed DIY-style, with surprise shows, sold-out pop-ups, and the globe-trotting No Name Tour, now immortalized in the new No Name Live EP.
Up next? Jack’s festival game stays strong with a killer slate of headlining sets across the U.S. this summer. Catch him raising the roof at:
