Johnny Marr has joined forces with fellow Manchester band James for a 2024 co-headlining North American tour that kicks off on September 17th in Denver, CO.
The jaunt will also hit cities including Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn, Toronto, and Vancouver before wrapping up in Saint Paul, Minnesota on October 18th. Check out the full tour dates below.
Beginning Thursday, May 9th tickets will be available through a Live Nation pre-sale (access code SOUNDCHECK). General on-sale starts Friday, May 10th on Ticketmaster
In a recent press release, Johnny Marr reflects, “I remember The Smiths being on tour with James in 1985. We admired them and even did one of their songs in our set. I’ve been a fan of theirs ever since and being out on tour again after 40 years is a really great thing.”
James’ Tim Booth had this to say, “Nearly 40 years ago James toured with the Smiths on the ‘Meat Is Murder’ tour. We were met with such generosity and kindness that it changed our DNA.
